I had a wonderful time hosting Save Room for Dessert…Texas Style along with Wine Importer Brett Tisdale who did a great job at pairing his wines with my German Chocolate Cake, Lone Star Peach Cobbler, and Louisiana Bread Pudding. We played some Texas Trivia and the winners went home with Peanut Brittle, Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies, Banana Bread, and a Loaf of German Chocolate cake. I did a demo on the proper creaming method and made chocolate cake. Such a fun and exciting evening sharing with folks all about baking and skills and techniques that I have learned over the years. Many thanks to all the folks who came out and to Daniel Ovichegan, Director of Operations Crescent Club, Chef John Owner and Executive Chef of Femia Italian Foods, and to my cowgirl assistants Gloria & Maggie who made it a beautiful night out in Texas.
